A 7 hour boat ride in the sun is a little painful

I feel your pain... I once fell asleep floating on an innertube in the lake. Needless to say when I woke up I wasn't very happy. Just remember that cold showers aren't so bad when you're that burned lol. Best of luck to ya man :)

the problem was it was a surprise evacuation, and normally they would have flown me in not put me on a boat. We had 80 people on the boat and at least half on us were sun burnt. the other half were in side taking up all the sitting and sleeping room.

Well you better get some Aloe Vera cream and put it on your face ... and don't forget your ears ...

Sun burn is never nice ...

Spyder,

I can recommend something that will help with burn....vinegar on a face cloth mixed equal parts cool water. It will help with the sting.

I am a redhead and it works. I get sunburned and it works better than most medical creams lotions and potions.

What?

Yeah, what the newfie said. Poor acid on your face.

Vinegar is an acidic liquid produced from the fermentation of ethanol in a process that yields its key ingredient, acetic acid (ethanoic acid).

I get wicked burns sometimes...usually once a year.

When I was little keeping sunscreen on me was a challenge for my mother. She was the one that put me onto it. Works like a charm.

I haven't had a burn in probably 10 years, my forehead started peeling today, its so much fun. You can see the holes in the skin from my scalp.

Vinegar and water works great, alcohol also helps depending on how bad the burn is and if you have blister its not a good idea but otherwise its normally ok.
