i think it works out at 1 in 4000
then you have to consider the fact that out of those 2,000,000 which of them are actually gonna play it online on a regular basis, i.e casual gamers or the HW community.
then you gotta take into account the timezones etc and times people will be on.
and of course, it was released in europe yesterday so now that inital 2,000,000 is gonna go up quite a lot.
yeah, pretty bad odds but i never seem to have to wait long for a game (i can't host, router, hey that means i'm one of the other 1,999,500)

if i don spot n e 1 i kno in HW2 f0 about 8 secs...i leave and either play HW2 sp or go straight 2 play Diablo 2 :P %D

Doesnt matter if its bad odds or not...its not supposed to happen at all!!!
This is a typical bug that should be solved a.s.a.p. and i KNOW they are working on it..or were when the problem arrose in the DEMO.

not sure who the problem lies with tho, Gamespy or Relic?
I mean, it's hard to see how Relic would have any way of solving this (unless it's in the HW2 data files for IP ports)
Saying that, I play BF1942 No problems via Gamespy and there doesn't seem to be any router/firewall issues there :|

Ditto, i played alot of games through gamespy (BF1942, NWN etc..) and no problems whatsoever. I think someone from relic was working on it. Not sure though

i don't think genre would affect gamespy.
