msascui.exe shows up in a virus scan i ran but can't see it to delete it. When i kill the process it comes back in about ten to fifteen seconds. While its not running i get virus pop ups. Its one of those wonderful "Your computer has been click here and vista defender can disinfect your PC" the weird part is its only affecting one of the user profile instead of all of them.

It has happened before that I have had hidden files that you couldn't view but hijackthis always could this one shows up no where. It shows up as a suspicious file not an actual virus but it definately the culprit

msascui.exe is not a virus but u have probably been infected but a virus which is giving a false report on that file

msascui.exe is a process belonging to Microsoft Windows Defender Antispyware which protects your computer against Internet-bound threats such as spyware and trojans which can be distributed through e-mail or attack directly to the computer allowing unauthorized access to your computer.\r This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated

what Anti Virus progam are u running?

good catch druid, i was about to suggest the same thing but i kept reading down the posts. I don't run with any protection and I've been fine so far, just don't stick your web browser in dirty places =p
