Do you guys know if there are any sites with actual numbers and percentages on things like heat infllicted and chance of knockdown for the weapons in MW? I'm somewhat intrigued by the idea of using smaller ACs to try and knock people around more in combat from long range.

There was a spread sheet somewhere that had all the stats for each weapon broken down by type (energy, ballistic, missle) but I have no idea where I saw it :( Keep looking, there is one out there.

Well, 3 Ultra AC 20s definitely seem to have a better shot at knocking over an Assault 'Mech than 2.

Headshots are probably the easiest way to take down an assault, especially the mauler and atlas. You just have to know where to shoot and then be a good enough aim to get the job done. I have never been too eager to use the big AC's. You need to get too close and you are usually in a mech so big that the enemy can wear you down before you are in range by just backing up at the same speed you are approaching. Pretty hard to sneak up on someone in an assault mech.

Experience rules the day. CSV (Clan Steel Viper) did weapons and damage stats for each weapon and chassis. These include the real chassis bonus for each mech. :)
Enjoy!

Yeah, had the impression those Atlas heads were absurdly easy to hit.
Thanks for info Inno. I'll check it out.

Yes, Pherd, 3UAC20's DO have a devistating effect on a mech. I use them, Gladi uses them. They're pretty nice, but you want Knockdown with Range...not very common, but it can be done if you HIT them properly with all you weps. I like to use a "Fast" brawler. Meaning, anything over 50kph in a Brawler config is "fast" in my book...lol.. Try the 4 UAC10's, or 4 AC10's Configs and try to Hit them in the back while they run away from you. Seems to help their momentum carry them down rather than forward. I like to shoot BK's more than anything, so I hit them in the upper torso and I can knock them down from time to time. Try different areas of the mech you're shooting at, and aim for ABOVE the waistline, since that's the most stable part of the mech. OR, just blow off a leg, and tag them as you please while they limp around in circles trying to shoot back at you...lol.
BAWK!
