Chikens, Return to Space!!!!!

Well, guys, we need to see you back in Eve. Doesn't seem like anyone is around lately, at least, not as a Chiken toon.

There are currently two (2) Chiken corps in Eve right now:

1) ChikenConfederation, and
2) Chiken Confederation, Inc.

Just to clear up any confusion, we all love each other, there has been no split. What happened is that the original custodians of corp #1, above, disappeared, leaving us who remained aimless and bereft of direction.

Concrete wanted to take the corp into lowsec, and maybe develop a little PVP and pos activity, but he found himself frustrated by a standing limitation. So he started corp #2.

Anyway, Crus is currently ceo of the original #1, and your's truly is in custodial control of spinoff #2, awaiting the return of Concrete, who we understand is off playing WoW... but in a demonstration of unity, both corps are currently members of the same alliance.

Trouble is, there is only Crus, Rigid, and me flying around with Chiken tags right now. I don't know what's going on with the rest of you, but we need you back.

Hope this inspires some of you to return to the Space Coup...er... Coop.

Hey Tarn, if you actually get into the game, and start earning ISK, you can trade it to people who sell monthly passes in game. I don't know what the going rate is though.

I played the free trial and man is that game complicated, sorry but I don't have a lot of time to spend figuring it out :*(. I would love to get back into a space combat game though.

Anyway, if I'm still actually considered a member of the clan I'd like to hook up with you once I've managed to work my way to my first battleship. I'd like to avoid freebies until then though. Takes all the fun out of rising to the top and getting new toys when they're all just handed to you.

Catching up... uh... I'm now a front end web developer at Sears and I just got married. Probably won't have the same free time I did on HW 2 but I have weekends and an hour here and an hour there during the week.

Oh and holler if you need anything interesting to happen that involves JS, CSS or X/HTML on the site.

It's more about customization than combat. Navigation/combat is about as point-and-click as it gets and there's no way to move to a point in space with nothing in it that I'm aware of.

That said, there's a LOT of customization, which is the sort of thing I tend to get excited about in my games.

I may check out Sins again too. I played for a bit but mostly SP. Couldn't help but wonder if they didn't have some balancing issues with that one TEC special ability just flattens massive groups of ships in no time flat (not that it wasn't fun).

Got my first Rupture. I'm armor-tanking the bejeezus out of it once I've got the right skills in place. I think I might move up to Hurricane from there or just straight to tech II cruisers. Not sure. I actually restarted a couple times to try different race's stuff out.

Gallente's drone bennies excite me but there's something about the speed and the cross between Vargr and Death Star trash compactor look of Minmatar's ships I find appealing.

Yeah, sins requires a lot of micro but at least it's not pay to play. hrm... how's that workin out for ya? Let's see, WoW = Everquest clone (same fate awaits), EvE=last of a dying game class (no-growth population is increasingly inbred with same people).

Even SoSE community is rather small, (prolly because it's a steep learning curve to get proficient), but there is a very accomplished skilled contingent. Latest expansion is in beta now, and with 9.99 (One time fee) pre-order, you get beta. Highest grossing platform game sales ever by the way. Just a small online multiplayer presence because it doesn't cater to the Zerg mentality.

Actually if you play enough eve, you can play for free. Use your ingame money to buy in game credit :P

Hey slackah are the games any shorter in Sins now? Its the only reason I don't play online that much.

Yeah, they now have "quick start" in the host settings which everyone enables. It gives you a frigate factory, a capitol ship factory, and all your crystal and metal mines have extractors and your population cap is maxed at your Homeworld. Takes approximately 20 or more minutes off the game.

But you can still get in some doozies that take upwards of hour and a half when playing 5 vs 5 with skilled opponents. But those are the most fun and most challenging.

You should get the Entrenchment expansion and come give it another whirl. Check out the forums for overview.
