Scratched disks

does anyone know of a way to restore scratched disks or of a place I can "legally" obtain a copy of mercs

You can take it to your local video store/game rental place and see if they can buff out the scratches. That worked for me with my old BF1942 disk.

My Mechy disk sits permanently in the drive ... all the disk swapping is done with the other drive ...

... but yes your local video shop should be the way to go ...

Here is the secret... you're gonna laugh, but I swear it works. Takes a yellow highlighter and color the entire disc (play side obviuosly), then wipe it clean with a COTTON cloth. Make sure when you wipe that you go in straight lines from center out, DO NOT go in circles as this will just fawk it up more. This is a tried and true method some friends and I discovered years ago.
