SA_Frostbite

A remake of the popular map from MechWarrior 4, SA_Frostbite sees the Inner Sphere fight the Clans between snow and ice, between rocky valleys and sky-high glaciers. While generally very wide and open and therefore place where long-range Mechs feel at home, there are several industrial complexes, caves in rocks and other places where battle armor could seek shelter to provide targets with TAG lasers or even prepare ambushes.

SA_PalaceGates

Another remake of a map from MechWarrior 4, SA_PalaceGates has Clans and Inner Sphere battle for superiority in fairly moderate climate. Green meadows and small upheavals coin the face of this map, which is of a very wide and very open nature.

SA_Extremity

Located on an asteroid in outer space, SA_Extremity intends to do its name justice. Inner Sphere and Clans will fight till the bitter end in this barren and hostile place, where frozen lakes as well as geysirs of boiling steam exist. This asteroid's rocky and devastated surface offers hiding places small enough for battle armor and others large enough for smaller Mechs and vehicles, which opens whole new tactical dimensions.

Day-Night-Cycle confirmed? No, not happening either

SA_Sandstorm

On SA_Sandstorm, the Inner Sphere and the Clans are fighting for domination in a very hot and dry climate. Pyramids and decayed pillars might resemble the remnants of ancient egypt architecture. Palm trees, dunes and oases at least offer some concealment, if not cover, while random sandstorms reduce the visibility on this map temporarily to less than 50m. While generally very wide and open, the derelict architecture and natural obstacles make this place an interesting combat ground not only for vehicles with long-range weapons.

SA_Inferno

Located around an active volcano, SA_Inferno is probably the most unforgiving map in the current line-up of MechWarrior: Living Legends. The lifeless surface, consisting of nothing but barren rock, is being torn apart by rivers of liquid and hot lava that could make every step your last. While officially the Inner Sphere and the Clans will be fighting for domination in this hostile environment, nature might have some say in this matter as well.

SA_Marshes

The main area of action on this map is an airstrip with several buildings around it. As its name suggests, SA_Marshes is a place of marshes and swamps, of very limited visibility, much water, weeping willows and hot, steamy atmosphere. In addition to the concealment that the limited visibility offers, a number of buildings and natural obstacles like small hills make up excellent places for ambushes by vehicles as well as battle armor.
