In the fiction an elemental was around two meters tall unarmored. if that little guy is two meters, then that is one giant Catapult. Jeez the Atlas is only something like 15m tall.

Some thing that they are addressing in MWLL is the actual sizes of mechs, in MW4 a light and an assault are highly dispropionate in size while veiwed in the game.

In Battletech all mechs actually are approximatley the same size in height give or take a few metres the catapult is 10m tall a Thor is 10.5m while an Atlas is 13m and Raven is 6.5m.

So actually a 2 metre guy is not far off to scale in the pic

Don't get me wrong, I aint bitchin'. The fact that I'm concerned with how this game turns out shows my interest. It just looks like you could fit a family of six comfortably in the cockpit of that catapult (I know it doesn't extend all the way to the back), also that little scrub brush bush in the
background liiks like it dwarfs the elemental.

Oh, about those heights, are we talkin' head-to-toe or shoulder mounted missile pod to toe? And how tall is a 6 foot guy in meters? Oh, the QUESTIONS!!

2m is about 6ft 6in, so the bush is about 6 to 7ft which about right since that the height of the ones at the bottom of garden lol, pine trees on average are 15 to 20m in height so they are in proportion to the mech height in pic, unlike in MW4 where all trees are tiny and u nver get the feeling of scale

The mech height personally i would say should be to the top of the pods, but i will allow artistic licence on this since the pods are interchangable in MWLL and so height would vary to config

OK i asked a Dev at MWLL and the answer was not in the initial release', so you may get your dream of scraping ooze off the mechs foot eventually in later updates :P

Clep, you and I both know what Elementals are like in real Battletech. If they are like that in MWLL I'll take a squad of them against ANY mech, any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

There are 2 game types on this so far, Solaris Arena (SA)whiich is a Team Deathmatch Mechs vs Mech and Trials of Annihilation (ToA) which is a Combined Arms game.

Its already been said on MWLL that to win ToA that you will jave to have a balanced team, using Mechs, Tanks, Aerofighters and Elementals, they all have a role, and you are right Doc unless the mechs have support they will have little defence if caught alone by an organised Squad of Elementals.

These are 16 v 16 TEAM games and if it lives up to the hype is going to be awesome

btw the maps in ToA are huge, 64 square Kilometres with outposts ,repair bays and mech factories .
Mechs like the Raven then come into their own, doing what they are supposed to do as a forward recon mech full of electronics and being the eyes and ears of the team

the lead Dev at MWLL has said that they are adding mass to the mechs foot so if u are underneath it u will get squished :)
