Hmmmm, will she burn you at the stake or poison you.
Of course you need to add the drivers for the printer, I'm thinking the computer will find it. However if it doen't you should go to my computer/printers and faxes and make it the default printer.
If that does'nt work ask her. Women are smarter than men, just ask em.

make sure that the printer is shared, right click on the printer icon in printers and faxes and select sharing once pc and laptop are rebooted vista should autodetect the shared printer, if it doesnt go to control panel/printer and click on add printer and select network printers the printer should be in the list

The laptop is not finding the printer, I think its my pc that is not allowing it. Ive uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it 3 different times and still cant get the laptop to find it.
I think when I reformated I lost something. Any ideas?

check your laptops firewall. It might not be allowing you to see the printer because it is classifying it as foriegn. Also try accessing the router controls from the laptop and see if you can see the printer from there.
Is the printer direct link to the PC or the router?

Sounds like you need to redo your Microsoft network (if that is what you are using).

Glad you figured it out. Look at the bright side, now you know more than you ever wanted to know about how to print from a wireless connection and can share it with the next person who needs to know.
It's always the little things that make it all work. :-)

and when those little things dont work, kicking is always a good alternative option...
