Doesn't seem like a popular or much talked about game. Thought the first one was kinda cool.

It was fun, heard multiplayer was better, but I never had the chance to play

Bawk!

I played it, and a lot actulay, but never multiplayer. I stopped playing it, when I had to reinstall my windows and could not use a backup of my achievements in the campaign. I found it had zero reply value and never reinstalled it again.

It looked nice tho :)

Well maybe we can get a multiplayer game together.

That could be fun.

Have to dust off my old disc :)

Hmm.. Maybe I'll pick up that 'Mech Collection pack with 4, BK, and MC 2. Always had a passive interest in Mechwarrior. Even dumped some money into that silly (but fun - 'til they screwed it up) Dark Ages game.

Pherdnut, Vengeance and BK are dead gamez. There are still people in Vengeance, but they play the fake MW, that NHUA crap.

Mercz iz only $18. Try it.

Vengeance has only FAWKING ASS HOLES left in the game.

They are all nova whores, and they all will call you a noob if you do not have these Œ ¤Ÿ †º in your name

Though I am one of those nova whores with ASNI characters in my name, I do not call people noobs.

Ah Veng, those were the days :)

Mercs really sux big time compared to Vengance/BK.

Its a pity that more people dont play Veng the Real way (HO/LA) much less lag and NDB.

I feel really nostalgic now :(

Don't you get more 'Mechs with all the expansions or does it not really matter.

Might just get 'em all for single player. What is NHUA. What L33T for that matter? Been playing console games for too long. I'm outta touch.

NH/UA - No heat/Unlimited Ammo

Ah. Sort of the equivalent of Noobs saying, "no rushing," in HW2. Ick. Learn how to play. Well at least we can all FINALLY host our own games and don't have to put up with the kiddies.

Part of the skill of MechWarrior is heat management, all weapons generate a different amount of heat, coupled with the fact that some maps are hotter than others (ie ranging from Lunar landscape to desert and volcanic landscape.

When u build a mech, u have to take into account the weight for armour, weapons and heat sinks to keep it within the weight limit of the mech chassis.

The most powerful and useful weapons are either very heavy (Gauss Rifles) or Generate a lot of heat (ER Laser and PPC).

So if you play No Heat then the weight required for the heat sinks can now be put into Armour or more weapons, but also with the heat restrictions of the maps now removed they can now use configs that would normally be unmanagable on hot maps.

Now this is fine for the fun element but it merely drops the game down to an arcade game level and so many of the serious players would never play NH.

But there can be fun going into those games, I never modified my mechs for UA/NH. still would kick others around. Then again I loved sniping with lt guass rifles and bap
