Not much of an artist but I want to make a badge for HW2 that looks like the Thundercats logo but has the sillouette of a screaming chicken instead. I can paint an existing screaming chicken head black and slap it on a circular red background but don't think I could make a very convincing one myself. Anyone got or seen anything like that? I'm looking for the profile shot of a chiken head with it's mouth open basically.

There's instructions in both the relicnews and Vivendi forums. If memory serves, it has to be a 64 by 64 uncompressed targa (.tga) file. Forget where you have to dump it though.

easiest way i found to creat badges (in Photoshop) is:

1. launch ps
2. create new image (64x64)
3. open whatever image you want to use and resize or whatever to 64x64
4. drag it to the 'new image'
5. use the eraser or better still magic eraser to get rid of all the ugly background
6. save as .tga (uncompressed)
7. place in badges directory

doing that way you don't have to ass about with alpha layers and transparency, makes the job a whole lot easier. if you want to ask questions i'm in the free collective IRC channel pretty much 24/7 (#free-collective @ austnet server)

I would take the cyberchiken head, sillouette it black after making the eye transparent, flip it horizontally, put it over a red circle over a black background. There, a thunderchiken logo.

I would do this at around 200*200 pixels in photoshop and then size it down to 64*64, save as targa (.tga) at 32bit colour.

Sorry I dont have time to make it for you or I would. Would make a pretty cool logo.
