ok a ram ?

i got a 100buck for x-max & im thinking more ram or a 200g hd.

well the ? is can i use diff. brands of ram. & most they be the same Cas Latency, or if so will my MB just slow down the ram i have(2-2-2-5)?????

or any the stuff im not thinking of??????

In most cases ram will adjust to the motherboard specs. The only real thing I can suggest to you is use exactly the ram your motherboard manual suggests. You have to careful of what type you have as well. DDR2 and DDR are not the same. Ram is good but only until the 2 Gig barrier. Windblows doesn't utilize ram efficiently or at all in most cases above that.
