I notice some chikens are looking for a new game to play online.
Well, never fear...i am here to hand you all a solution.

NeverWinter Nights and its expansionpacks, Shadows of the Undretine and Hordes of the Underdark.

NWN is a 3D, 1st person Roleplaying game set in the world of the Forgotten Realms.
NWN itself is about a year and a half old, but together with SoU and HotU (the latest expansionpack) NWN has gotten a boost again.

For more info about the game visiti our NWN forum (http://chikens.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=11) and read about it and gawk at the screenies ;)

So Peek, Loogie, Martian, Morpheus, Airborne, Gunslinger and any other NWN chikens out there....get ur acts together and lets plan some online mayhem again !!! :D

Is there anything built in that inhibits lower levels grouping with higher levels?

In daoc this kind of powerleveling is possible but limited by limiting the lower levels characters xp gain.

Depends on the server/PW you're playing on.
On LoA (from the drunken warriors) you can party with higher levels, but that means you get almost no XP.
This is great if are more the hardcore player who wants to sweat for his character and feel like he's really accomplished something when he finaly gets his char up to lvl 20+

On MERP its a 50-50 deal.
The server looks at what the combined level is of the whole party and then divides it by the number of the people in the party. Then that number is the level of the whole party and XP is given accordingly.

But after a certain point (level 20>>) the divider is set higher...i think it sees lvl 20> as two people then, so a party of 2 with one level 25 player is seen as 3 people and then divided by 3..so the XP gain is very low.

Something along that line.

Weapons and armor are reistricted to level though.
So you cant wear uber stuff when ur level 1 :P

You guys should Consider City of Heros, it's the ONLY MMORPG that I've ever seen that I'm actually impressed with so much, that I'm playing it. NONSTOP. I went a whole 12 hours on Monday, and I only stopped today after a couple hours to get some internet work done.

Not sure if there's a Demo, but at least give it a look. The Heros you can make are INSANELY customizeable...ther's about a million and a half ways to customize your Hero. including size and gender. Armor, tights, boots, clothes, hats, helms, you name it, even horns....bug eys, antenae...it's fun as hell to team up as well. They really nailed this MMORPG on the head. It's made by the same people (NCSoft) who make the Lineage serise.
BAWK!

DAoC? I've honestly never heard of that game. The dungeons and dragons I'm refering to is when you get a group of friends together and start a real D&D game withthe monester manual, DM guide, and Players handbook.

Currently I have a lvl 6 rogue that has a bounty on his head for killing one tenth of a towns population in one night :-)
