COH FREEZES

About 5-10 min. into single player..it locks up hard. Have to reboot. Didn't start till I got past 5 or 6 missions. The one where you have to kill all the panthers and the next one is defend the hill and the town(Martien I think). Any ideas? Running a saphire 800GTO and 1g memory with single core pentium 4. Wiped all ATI and reinstalled. No effect. Now get to work all you geniuses. Thanks Crus.

Backup your save file, then reinstall CoH.

I think i remember seeing something in the forums about crashes in mission 7

Think it's a game prob. cause it didn't start till later missions. Anyone else have this prob?

Also the latest nvidia drivers have been fawking CoH i think saw a thread.

I can't even get the durn thing to run.

It installs ok... made sure I have DirectX 9... it freezes loading up the tutorial. I haven't even gotten to see the opening mission.

I have a 5-year old Pentium IV, 2.68ghz, 512 mb ram, allocated 3 gigs to my pagefile.sys. Bought a brand new 256mb video card, think it's a MSI GeForce7600 something or other with the latest NVidia driver.

Big nothing.

Try upgrading that Ram, your gonna need atleast 1 gig, 2 gigs to run at full graphics with no lag.

Try trurning down all the bells and whistles on sound and video and see if that helps. Sounds like you might be overloading a channel somewhere....
