Been using IE7 for weeks now, and it works fine for me. I clicked on your link, and it opened a new window with your page. Bad install maybe.

Star Wars Games http://www.nemesischiken.org/albums/Games/swm_alliance.jpg
Ever since I saw the original movies back in the mid 70's I have been hooked on the Star Wars universe almost as bad as with Star Trek.
Lol but thats a mod for hw2... Sorry off topic, i only used IE7 once and i got no problems with it, and if you got a java error try reinstalling your Java thing, or IE7.

I gotta get back into playin that mod. It is SOOOO kewl !! ... its still a Star Wars game MadCat ;) I get a woody thinkin about hyperin x-wings into battle again.
btw, I did a full install and that fixed whatever was broke. I DEFINITELY didn't go thru the post install setup, that is where I had the javascript error.
LOL - I'm just glad I also use NetScape so I could download a new version. I couldn't even get that to work out of my screwed up IE.

The new IE7 has a lot of design flaws. It's hidebound on security. You have to put "www" in front of those kinds of URL's, or it won't find the address. At least on IE6 the URL parser was smart enough to figure that out for you.
We have a secure SSL socket at work that is supposed to let me run my CPU at the office remotely from my home machine, or from a laptop when I'm travelling. Works fine with IE6. So I downloaded IE7 and tried to log into my computer at work, and guess what?
Can't visit my FTP servers using IE7 either. IT Department knows all about it, and are working on it, but it could be January before they have a fix.
Trouble is, when I installed IE7 it killed IE6, and I can't get it back just now. The installation disks aren't handy. It is really a major pain in the you know what.
I agree about Firefox. BTW, Firefox has an IE plugin that gives you access to the things that IE7 dropped. Trouble is, it takes about 30 seconds to make the transition, but if you're patient, you can use this as a workaround, if you are unfortunate as I was to have installed IE7, assuming that it was a smooth upgrade from IE6.
I'm using Firefox now for most of my web activity.

I still firefox is best though.
... and at you're age you've tried how many different browsers ... ? Best is a very subjective conclusion. If it does what you want it to do isn't that the best one?
lol - just kiddin MadCat :P
If I jumped on every new Browser that has come out I wouldn't have any room on my puter for games :firing
:blob - more games , more games :blob

i was hardcore IE user for many years. But i got tired of all the pop ups and such. I was running three different spyware scans (good ones). I finally had it and downloaded firefox. I have not looked back. I still run three scans but only once every couple of months! i love firefox now! all i can say is tabbed browsing and extensions!. i know IE& has tabbed browsing but you have to think that it was added because firefox had it. i would still be concerned about the security of IE.
But i also agree to each his own!
except that if i had never had tried it o would still be scanning for crap all the time :)

I have had a problem with being able to see animations, i.e. gif's and the like. I have gone into the options and made sure it was set to allow veiwing, but still nada. Same for Firefox, it only started when I installed IE7
