This passage makes absolutely no grammatical sense. First of all, "I'd" should always be capitalized. This is to distinguish the word from the stupid software company that could only aspire to be as buggy as Microsoft or Gamespy. "Would say" is passive tense and should be reworded to "will say." Are you or are you not saying? Above that, the whole phrase should be reworded. "I declare" would be more proper.

Second, FC is a bad abbreviation. Before using an uncommon abbreviation, proper English dictates that one should define the abbreviation.

If you will say "Another point for FC," then please capitalize and quote the quotation of yourself properly. However, if you declare this, then you aren't saying it and wouldn't need the quotations at all.

"=p" is not a word. It is important that you maintain the clarity of your post by placing the word art outside the confines of your sentence.

I declare another point for Free Collective (FC).

Its spelled "dictionary" btw fear rotfl

"Its" is a possesive pronoun which is misused here. The proper contraction would be "it's," or "it is."

"btw" is another uncommon abbreviation which should have been defined, but would be improper even if it was. There are no shortcuts in concise grammar. Laziness breeds impotence of communication.

"btw fear" is misplaced. This phrase, or the proper phrase, should be at the beginning of the sentence to denote what is "by the way." This is a misplaced modifier.

There should be a comma following the prepositional phrase "by the way." There is a natural pause in the sentence here.

Your punctuation is missing from this sentence. I kept hoping there would be more of this sentence due to the fact that it was never ended. I should think your next post will simply be a run-on from this one.

"Fear" is a proper noun because it is the name of a Chiken. Therefore, it should be capitalized as such.

Abbreviations to denote laughter have absolutely no place in proper grammar. I am abhorred by your consistent abuse of the language through extra frills to make it seem as though there is more to the page than the words on it. You wrote a paragraph, not a picture of you sticking your tongue out and laughing. By the way, you may wish to reinsert your tongue into the confines of your mouth before laughing. The practice of laughing with your tongue hanging out may be dangerous.

I only ask that, in the future, you proceed to the point of editing grammar with a better understanding of what grammar is.

As far as i'm concerned, i'm quite happy for our worst player to play your best as many times as they both feel like it. I'd rather see more games played than anything else. Suas, cat and I will always play more games than the rest of the clan, simply because we DO play more games than the rest of the clan - the reason we're arguably the better players in the first place is that we play more. I'll always encourage as many FC as possible to play as many games as they can.

Some slight technical problems with reporting atm, but hopefully we'll get those sorted out today.

For you chiks that only use gamespy, are there any common times when you hang out there? I mostly play from IRC, but i'll try and get over to the Blue Side for a few.

You are not even registered as a player on the newly created ladder for this war! Any match you play is simply NULL and VOID! And as I stated on private chiken forum, there is no structure in place to give the numbers meaning. THis is a WAR, not a 5 FC vs all CC kind of thing. It is also not a 1vs1 ladder or a 2vs2 ladder.

There must be conflicts of different sizes to highlight the strengths and weaknessed in both teams. This also means, you cannot let your best players do ALL the matches, just like in a real WAR. And 1vs1 will only be a small percentage of the games that have to be played, and not dominate the scoreboard as they do now. And quite frankly, a 1vs1 win is less of a victory then a 3vs3 win! So you guys better drop that my d*ck is bigger then yours attitude, especialy you didlix (lol), cause you got none.

I have some ideas for a well balanced and organised war, and like to share them with some uber peeps that organised this WAR. Contact me if you like to know the rough ideas and the deeper meaning behind them. It is not all set in stone, its just a rough draft and thus open for discussion.

Without some organised combat with produce meaningfull and comparable results, all these quick matches are just hot air to brag about. They don't mean shit and don't count in the end.

I have not played a match yet, and it is still unclear to me who is FC and who is not. These tags of yours can be so confusing as again, there is no structure. Chikens have Chiken in their name, thats it, and all that is required to make peeps identifyable.

You problably see me do a few games online with and/or against some FC I do know. Oli2k is sure to be one of them as I see him online the most and is a good peep with good skills as well.

Actually this fix is very smart although you need a router that will break every rule made for ip :drunk: This wont work on every router!!! What you doing is giving your Wan and Lan side of your router an Ip in the same range/subnet Explaining this would be very hard. What it wont do is hijacking anothers ip adress. Its still a private adress. The lan side ip of the router wont show up on the internet. If your router doesnt do this trick google for break rule ip [insert router brand here] . I gotta test this.... :drinking:

Cateye, it simply IS true. If you look at the stats, I think you would have to agree that you 3 are pulling most of the weight. Based on the current standings, you 3 have participated in 75% (15 out of 20) of the games. Saus has played the most games with 7, followed by you with 6, and Silencio with 4. The other 5 FC have participated in at MOST 2 games each. Every Chiken (expect 1) has played in at LEAST 2 games each and Fear has the most at ONLY 4 games. Our top 3 most active players have a combined total of 10 games (or 38% of the total points).

Last time i checked, the following Chikens had played:

AFAIK, the following FC have played:

Suas, silencio, Cateye, Animal, K, Didlix, Duncan, Sabo

That's 10 players vs 8. Yes, me cat and suas play a lot of games - we always have. We're far more suited to 1v1 games than to team games, whereas for you guys it's probably the other way around. We've made team games count for more, so even if I can win 3 games a night, a single 3v3 win for you will cancel it all out.

The good thing about this war is that it's encouraging more people to play more games, from both sides. We encourage our newer players to play you guys, even when they think they're going to lose, as i've played several of you who've agreed to play me even though you thought you'd lose. I'd much rather see us win 99 games and lose 100 than i would see us win the War 2 - 1. A lot of us will get a lot better as a result of these games, and they're great fun too.

Over this weekend, over 30 games have been played between the FC and CC, and the results have been fairly even. If we each only played 2 matches 'home and away', the war would be over extremely quickly.

We (players from both clans) got together and discussed the best way to play the war. We decided the best way was to keep it as open and flexible as possible. You will never find a good fixed number of games to play, as the sort of figure that would make some of us happy, other players would never get near.

Both clans have a range of different skill levels. FC probably have more 1v1 specialists, while chikens are probably more team-orientated - but we've agreed to score the games in your favour there.

If it's at all possible for me to play I will, problem with having a shared PC is that everyone in this place is a comp addict, I have this (underspecced) one to myself, and theres the beast downstairs which is used between 5 other people.
Try asking after 11pm GMT, i'm pretty much always up for a game after then.

I think the 30+ games played so far over the past few days isn't that bad at all tbh.

I am glad to see more on more FC peeps coming over to gamespy. I know it sucks, but I see it as THE meating ground. Even if a game is not started using gamespy, but over direct IP, it is still a good meeting place to look for a fight. And if you are bored when no chikens are in, there is always Octo to fight. Dunno if he even has a job or like to do anything else then hang around there, but I expect not.

I played Octo yesterday, i got owned somehow. Dual fighters for me and must have been for him 2.(shield) He pumps out 1.5 more fighters than me! I had no pauses just a steady flow of fighters.. odd stuff.

I like the war, even if I am taking one hell of a beating. Best way to evolve is to jump in at the deep and wade through the defeats.

Sometime soon the tide will turn. I'm getting there.

As for Octo, be carefull on the 1v1 on shield, he has a very effective fighter rush which can win him a game against anyone when he pulls it off. I suggest playing defensive, his mid and late game are crap.

Octo has a weakness in ramping up that fast in 1vs1 battles. He builds very few collectors, if any at all. Ramping up this fast is only an advantage for the most viscious and agressive players. In all other cases, it can be overcome, as he will hit the fighter limit and looses a lot of potential RU mining in which extra resources would allow him to scale up fast from there on. So, if you do not engage, play it safe, but do some RU mining and build fighters in your bays at the same time. This will turn his speed advantage against him, as you have far more resources to scale up and/or replace losses.

His fighters have to travel great distance to do any harm and his first 6 unupgraded fighters or so will not be able to do much damage against a moving CR and/or MS. Thus ramping up that fast is only a true advantege if he heads straight to your mining operation and kills every collector. In 2vs2 and 3v3 early support from a teammate can also allow such a quick rush without harming scaleup later.

He almost beat me as he surprised with so many early fighters, but sloppyness and bad RU handling costed him the victory in the end :) as my destroyers where punding him. Not sure he makes this mistake again, tho.

3.) Yesterdays games only strengthens our point. Every single games except one 1v1 had at least 1 if not 2 of you, cateye, or silencio in it. That brings you 3 up to 81% of all games played (26 out of 32)

Ok, Ok, WTF is going on....last week Guerilla came on HW2 and said there was going to be a war with FC...problem is, I've seen one other FC Besides Oli2k, and like Rilla said, he's a God.

First of all, I don't recall doing ANY FC bashing at all. If any one can quote me or any of the other Chikens I play with Regularly, that being NemesisChiken and GuerillaChiken, I'ed like to see visible proof like a Screenie or something.
But, at the same time, I will say this for myself. If I ever talk sh!t to some one, it's, #1, usually Octothorpe, and #2, usually in game, or post game when you have already said something offensive to ME or other chikens, or if you have Plat spammed us, and we owned you. That's pretty much the only time I ever talk trash. Also, you don't hear me talking trash when I get my ass handed to me. I accept my defeat with Honor and humility and I always try to take something out of the game to learn how to beat you the next time.

SO please, keep your "bashing" amongst your selves guys (FC), I have never seen any Chikens on this continent Bash you at all.

Good post Sil, While I was never a big cata multiplayer gamer I did think it was a better multiplayer game. In fact I would go as far as saying it was better than hw 1 for multiplayer but the thing is when I started playing it it was like a year and a half old so getting beat with ease wasnt to fun but also made me go easy on noobs in hw2 after all if you show them somthing they will use it but also mgith get them to play the game more.

At freecell there have been only a couple of games I could not finish, im pretty sure 100% of them are finishable. I find maybe 85% of them easy once you follow a few basic principles, like clearing out a colum asap, and keeping as many of the four slots empty as possible during the game so as to move more cards per turn.
