View Full Version : PC vs. PS2 Version

Just wondering if anyone here has played this for the PS2 as well as the PC. I own the PS2 version and was curious what the major differences were on the PC version. I may see if I can pick up a used copy somewhere.

I've looked into grabbing this on ebay and may snag it in the next day...my only concern is it's listed as a "keyboard + mouse" control game. Is that what everyone uses or are there people out there that use it successfully with gamepads/joysticks?

Keyboard mose is normal for troop control, and vehicles/flying with j/stick but u can actually use a controller for all movements

Ok thanks. It looks like I can pick it up on Ebay for like $20 bucks. I can try with the keyboard and mouse thing then move to the gamepad to see which I prefer.

PS2= suck ass xbox rule!!! Nah the console versions of BF2 suck ass. Its just some crappy missions but the PC version is like all the other BF games.

PS2 may suck...but it's free. At this time I simply refuse to pay to play a game. If I wanted to do that, I'd go to an arcade. I disagree with the whole XBOX live thing. This is the reason I'm branching out to PC instead of console. I think I'll reserve my final judgement until the release of the PS3.

As for the PC BF games...I've never played any of them. That's why I wanted a comparison. Is the online game play similar? (CTF, Assault, etc.) I could care less about the crappy missions.

screw abox live i just go for the pc versions hell of alot better :D just d/l the demo

Ive never played BF2 on anything except PC so i cant give an opinion on similarity but as MadCat said u can d/l the free demo to try it out.

U can get the feel for it but u are only limited to one map and game type if i remember correctly.
