After re-installing mercs, every thing seems to be fine xcept one thing. Does anybody know why im getting purple (instead of green) smoke when i coolant flush and also purple smoke when I walk on desert like maps (tumble weed, etc.).. Never happened before, so i havnt a clue. I have a invidia 5200 ultra graphics card and a 21 in crt, all have been updated with the latest drivers. A little help, please!!...

Oh yeah right, sorry..... ummm reinstalling may help i guess but honeslt dont have a clue :(

Does the ERLarge Laser look Green? Might be tint or some video color settings. I dunno either, bu ti like loogies purple Haze idea. hehehehehehehe!

Yeah could be a general video setting rather than mechy related.... noticed odd colours in anything else?

nah, nothing else is effected....its really wierd, I have tweaked just about every setting having to do with Video, but nothing changes. A few xplosions, flush xhaust, and dust c aused by footsteps are the only things effected.....

lemme tell you somethin', first off i have a geforce fx 5200 ultra made by bfg(asylum). and i can tell you its really querky, and i dont think its the manufacturer, i had a visiontek 5200 ultra and it wouldnt even run windows. i am seriously just giving in and buying a 5900 or 9800pro.. secondly, drivers dont help my card..ive updated, and updated, and updated my drivers to no avail my mercs freezes up intermitently still. what are your specs, soz i can see if there are any similarities

5200 Ultra 128 MB DDR put out by PNY, windows XP, Athlon XP 2.0 ghz, 21 in CRT, all with updated drivers....?!?!? this is the first time its happened, and i have been using this set up for more than a month, with no probs

im sorry it wasnt a visiontek that was my last vcard, it was a pny w/ the purple chick on da front.. my setup was almost similar to what you have now, and i had problems. the card is purplekinda color isnt it.. beware the girly card :fag:

good job, its just that bad card i got just put a big stink on pny for me.. not to say that they suck cause they dont, it was shits a giggles :blob: glad to see you got it fixed.. i got an asylum and i likes..
