K, i had enough of playing games (WoW) without my chiken brothers and sisters.
So i bought BF2.

I didnt get SF yet...cause that would have set me back another 30 euro's.
Are there still chikens playing BF2 only????

Anyway, .. cause i'm lazy ..anyone wanna give me a quick list of servers we're on... or stuff i really need to get (teamspeak?/Ventrillo?/Skype?)

You'll need TS2 client. Mooch runs our TS2 server.

After you install the game, you need to download patch 1.12 from the EA website. http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/downloads.jsp

Can't wait to catch you online - you can normally find us (me at least) on TS when playing BF2. Have a bit of a lag issue into euro servers, but I'm sure we can find some common ground somewhere !!

i cant wait to play again but I have yet to find the directX used in BF2 as a single packaged install as I made the really really stupid mistake of upgrading to SP2 and it tweaks out whenever I try to installit

Nah, not that. Battlefield has it's own directX version which is required to run the game (their own tweaks) and it will not boot with this version (I already have it)

Doesn't matter what the patch does. It is up to date but it refuses to install the DX packaged with BF everytime

If it doesn't install the DX found on the BF2 cd then your up to rev.

I don't think you have to do anything - are you having some specific problem?
