Right, after you have finisihed mocking me for having such a terrible game you may be able to help....
I am in a retro mood at the moment and have installed Final Liberation onto this current incarnation of my PC for the first time. It will start and I see the intro ( if I use compatibility mode to force the resolution low ) after the intro it then dummps me out to an error saying that the application attempted to write to memory that is read only.
It used to work on my PC and all that has changed since is the operating system ( ME -> XP Pro ) and and my gfx card ( GeForce2 -> Radeon 9700 ). I have used a couple of hardware profiles to find out that it is not a card issue which leaves me with the operating system which I guess makes a kind of sense, unfortunately compatibility mode for ME doesnt do the business.
Any ideas or solutions from people who have experienced this?
I have attempted to DL the only patch for the game I have found but the patch is pants and doesnt apply properly - the readme for it only mentions slight game play changes, nothing technical.
