RIGHT!.. no, what I do is I take some time for each one. Right now, EVE is it for me. It's the only game I play at all right now(except at work where I play Empire at War all day) . But, in the future, I'll be choosing PBS over STO. I'll play STO with work friends and PBS by myself, and who ever else joins me there. I actually give my GF equal time as I do gaming. That way niether one of them gets jealous!...LOL, like EVE will ever leave me!?... pffff...
Anyway, yeah, on some planets, they have 400 hours in a "day". If I only had to sleep 80 hours a day, and work another 100 hours, that would leave a treasure chest full of time!
Wouldn't that be awesome!?!...

Hey, u haven't mentioned Guild Wars. (If you did i'm sorry I don't know a lot of abbreviations) In my opinon that's the best one because there is no monthly fees like Wow or Asheron's Call. :-)

Fanatic states the correct. Though Sid Myers Pirites wasnt my cup of tea and I usally like all his games, Civ and Alpha Centuri being my favs and the next civ out shortly ( with big modding support :) ) it will be my next purchase since....humm actually you know what I havent bought any games this year at all bar battlefield 2 and I havent been playing that since the hacks started to surface, since they are undetectable by punkbuster. Though the wall hack is a skill in itself anyone who can play with that on is a genius lol.

Hey Starsiege: 2845 is comming out and it's free. The multiplayer is absolutly FREE. The multiplayer is comming out in late 2005, and the singleplayer is comming out in mid 2006.

Starsiege: 2845 is a non-profite game made just for Starsiege fans that don't like Tribes by VU. (The series were Earthsiege 1 and 2, Starsiege then Tribes 1,2 and 3)

Starsiege is very similar mech warrirors. So shouldn't be too different for mech warriror players. Only there are more choices like: walkers ("mechs"), tanks, (and this info is still pending) flyers and infantry. We know there are flyers and infantry but whether there are able to be use in multiplayer in unknown.

Anyone interested or just curious please let me know.

Silvereye, I'm sure our whole Mech division will want links on the info you just gave us. We've been starving for a Mech-based game and the first version Starsiege was a competitor with MechWarrior 4 during the early days of Mechwarrior 4: Vengence.

Are you guys are serious about SS:2845?

Starsiege was a compeditor of Mech Warrirors but died down later on because of a so called "uneven" and rough gameplay.

Honestly the SS multiplayer is good. They have a few multiplayer campaigns, and not only "mechs" can be used but tanks and flyers!
The gameplay is not "uneven" but it is a little rough.

I was a big fan of Mech Warriors but lost all my Mech Warrior games. So I found SS and started playing it.

If the Chiken Mech division wants to transfer to Starsiege:2845 then there is one problem. SS is still played among "mech" fans, so I'm already in a clan that's going to transfer to SS:2845. The Dragon's Elite. (www.freewebs.com/golddragon287). What should I do?

Please let me know what you guys decide.

I would enjoy again a new Mechwarrior serise, IF it had more weapons, more mechs, and the same feel as Mechy did.
(SOmeone needs to shoot Microshaft in the foot and get them to let go of the Mechwarrior franchise so some real gamers/modders/ and programmers can get ahold of it and make something worthy and fun!)

Well, one reason why I stopped playing Mech Warrior.

Sierra had a better game. Earthsiege/Starsiege

The "mech's" weapon is completely customizable. Components like engine, reactor, armor, sensors, etc. can be suped-up.

in fact I play SS alot because of all the cool sci-fi tech you can use from anti-grav generators to heavy quantum guns.

No disrespect to Mech Warriors, they are a great series that actrually beat the starsiege series. (which turned into tribes).
Mech Warriors is a great game, but I preffer SS. :)

EarthSiege/StarSiege was MUCH more like MechWarrior 3 than MechWarrior 4, but with a better graphics engine. There are actually more weapons in MW4 than I remember being in StarSiege, but my memory of SS is a bit fuzzy.

It was a good game, but Mech-Style games (and simulations in general) are not where companies see that the money is these days. The problem is that there are too many people who's attention span is shorter than the lifespan of an ice cube in hell. First person shooters are all the rage and companies don't see your typical simulation as a good investment in time.

Games like CounterStrike, Day of Defeat, Halo, FarCry are the "hottest" game around now.

But FPS are fun. I'm trying my hands on Area 51. I heard it's the new halo. There are just too many gun freaks out there :bang:

Just about all of ST:NG and DS9 from Season 4 the Way of the Warrior on :D

ST:OS is still classic but very dated now and ST:V was just generally lame :(

But Enterprise started very weak, but towards the end of season 3 and just about all of Season 4 turned out some of the best Star Trek ever.

only thing i liked about star trek voyager was the final 2 episodes you see a bunch of borg cubes pelt the ship next thing you know voyager backhands one and it explodes and yes star trek os was great i still watch the reruns when i get the chance
