As far as MicroShaft are concerned it seems that all they want to do with the MechWarrior series is n00b it down for the single cells to play on their XBoxes.

Luckily there is a light in the darkness for us Mech-Heads over at MECH TACTICAL SIMULATIONS (http://mts.battletechmodproductions.com/)

They seem to be putting in an incredible effort into makeing a MW mod for the new BF2 and currently the mechs in game are:
+ Cougar (35 tons)
+ Ostscout (reseen, 35 tons)
+ Owens (35 tons)
+ Sha Yu (40 tons)
+ Phoenix Hawk (reseen, 45 tons)
+ Shadow Cat (45 tons)
+ Shadow Hawk (reseen, 50 tons)
+ Bushwacker (55 tons)
+ Vulture(60 tons)
+ Archer (reseen, 70 tons)
+ Marauder (reseen, 75 tons)
+ MadCat (75 tons)
+ Legacy (80 tons)
+ Templar (85 tons)
+ Masakari (85 tons)
+ Atlas (100 tons)
+ Fafnir (100 tons)
+ Marauder II (reseen, 100 tons)

The downside is the specs for BF2 do require a high-end graphics card that may force some players out.
Specs
OS: Windows XP
CPU: P4 - 1.7 GHz. Rec: P4 - 2 GHz or Athlon XP
Mem: 512 MB RAM. Rec: 1 GB RAM
GFX: 128 MB.

I have an AMD2500, 1G ram (less than DDR 400 ... I think 333), ASUS V9900 / GeForce FX 5800 128 DDR

Is that good enough?
