Tonight DysedChiken was supposed to make his triumphant return to the world of MW. However, before this could happen, he had to return from his date. Since it's now 10:30 and there's no Dysed, this could only mean one thing:
DYSED GOT LUCKY!!! :band:

Have any of you ever tried to explain this to anyone?
Have any of you ever tried to explain the fact you game with people from across the globe and in some respects those people you have never met, are closer than family?
That a moocher and a peekaboo are Chikens and people you are proud to call friend?
Do normal people in your every day think you are wacked because you hang with people you have never met and can kill whole days fooling about on the computer?
If you answered yes to any of the above then you know what poor Michelle is going through in trying to come to grips with in regards to this Chiken.........she just plain doesn't get it and for that matter wonders if being a Chiken means your wacked and need to develop the social skills necessary to cull friendship with living breathing people in your everyday life.....
I am curious how many of you have the above dillemma?

Well, I always has been considered a little strange by my friends. SF books reading (I read in speed of about 300 - 400 pages per hour, which is strange itself), various RPGs, miniature games (warhammer mostly) and few other things... Playing online, and being a part of a community they find just as another "things bubi do".
BTW., ask Michelle to visit this board, and read a few threads. She may like what she see. Its way easier than to explain all "why", and "what for". Just point her to some interesting stuff (aka, more text than smilies per one page).

BAWK!
1. No need, all my friends in town are already members of some gaming group or another.
2. I'm trying to come to grips with this myself.
3. Nope. This is mainly due to the fact that I only give them the information I think they need. But most people who know me DO know that I have an online gaming addiction.
Dysed, you can't change the fact that you are a Chiken, so maybe someone needs to define what a Chiken is. Here is what it means to me (good gawd, I can remember when I wanted new Drunkens to do this. LMFAO):
1. You don't take yourself too seriously, hence the name "Chiken" plastered onto the end of your nickname and typing BAWK all the fawking time.
2. You are playing an online game for fun, and the ability to game with other people with the same attitude is why you have chosen to be a Chiken.
3. You think a list like this should have more humour (spelled with the extra "U" just for Dysed) than serious connotations.
4. You think I should be putting things like "You think Dysed looks sexy in his skirt" or "You dream of Dysed in a skirt" instead of semi-serious things about being a Chiken.
5. You don't take ME too seriously.
I donno if this list does it, but it might grant some insight into the Chiken mindset.

I think she haz it backwardz.
To me, having a life iz the very reazon I come on here to be a chiken. This iz my escape from the dilemmaz of being a "normal" person.
I am all the time hearing about my friendz who go out and party every weekend having pregnancy scarez, problemz with the law, getting beat up by guyz or just being in fightz.
To me, that'z not having a life, that'z being a victim of your life. I do have a life. I have a boyfriend and a place to live, people who love me and people to love, some of which are Chikenz. For that I am not ashamed. I'm damn proud!

I have been a chiken for a few years now and went through the 'family member explaining what being a chiken was about' - sounded FAWKing stupid if you ask me....... but then what do I know and here I am BAWKing my way through life :)
I even used these chiken boards in a presentation at work one time as a demo of a phpbb boards when we were considering different forum approaches for our customers - needless to say that meeting descended into ridicule of me...... but I did get everyone to BAWK at least once :) weeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
I just need to remember..... I R CHIKEN and everything is ok.
