Okeey i am in a spam mood today :D

I just saw the movie "Mephis Bell" for the 10th time or more and well.....

The movie has finaly lost his charm. I used to think all those dudes in the movie and bomber where hero's and rocked. I wanted to be them and god i wish i flown a plan and dropped some bombs cause i would be a hero to. ( so the movie makes you think)

But i laugh my ass of now..

During the movie they make a second bomber run because they do not want to hit "The school" and "Hospital". Strange....
During WW2 the USA and UK mass bombed human targets as a goal to bring down Germany. Never in history civilian s where bombed in this way and it was rooted out strategy.

Why is this not shown in the movie and why are the killers shown as hero's ? Yes the bomber pilots where hero's but they did kill innocent civilians and this movie creates a picture that is not treu!

Long live Hollywood!!!

The ones that give the orders to bomb are the killers and the pilots/crew of the bommer they just follow orders. The english bommer general had a bloody nick name, dont remmeber it tho.

Actually the americans did try targeted bombings, that is why 90% of thier runs were during the day.

The british prefered to do night runs to reduce their casualties, which greatly reduced their accuracy

But placing blame on anyone at this point is useless
I mean you could blame Hitler
but then again you could blame political officials at time for letting Hitler get power

It could on and on and on

The english bommer general had a bloody nick name, dont remmeber it tho.

The man was Sir Arthur Harris and his nickname was 'Bomber' Harris. Although apt is not that bloody.

The guy was also just 'doing' a job, not a very pleasant one but he launched a bombing campagain that he thought would have brought about the end of the war more quickly.

He was a controvesial character, but in war the line between heros and villians is very thin, if his campagain had worked then he would have been the savior of millions, but now all he is remembered for is the man who ordered the Dresden Bombings.

War is hell..
