Joystick Problems

Today I confirmed what I already knew. I am rusty from my time spent galavanting across germany. I also came to the conclusion that I really have no idea how bad I am as my joystick is also still broken. The twisty thing sticks and does not always come back to center, 2 fire buttons are on PMS, the normal rotate part of it like does its own thing when I target and the button I use for coolant flush just releases the green mist on its own. I should be able to replace it within the month (I hope). So you chikies out there who "do the mechy thing", If you see my canopy fly open and bungled wires attached to the remains of a joystick fly out, I am venting off heat. If you see green stuff splashing around, its not coolant, its Dew.

if you're hard on the joystick, it will break.

I played a lot of simulation dogfighting games when I was younger; went a little too hard on the joystick and ended up damaging the primary firing button.

So I had to switch the controls to button 2 ... soon that broke, and I just got a new joystick.

3 years later, it's broken again.

thanks for the input. I don't recall asking for alternative game control devices. When i play non-flight style shooters, i prefer keyboard/mouse. In the mechy world, its hard to ger your mech to side step around and plug something.

no debates please. i was just mentioning the controller is broke. play how you want, but mostly, let me do likewise.

well, i'm hired to kill things. be it as a mercenary or registered pilot. paid to kill is paid to kill.

when being a comando, its best to dress commando. Besides, we don't need all those clothes adding more heat to an already heated issue.
