The Chiken Confederation is hosting a new version of NemesisChiken's Homeworld2 Build & Ship Stats page and I'd like to thank everyone involved for helping me bring this new version to the HW2 community.

For those of you that are not familiar with this page, the original version (v1.0) contained an expandable tree diagram that outlined the basic build structure and general statistics (RUs, Time, Health, and Attack) along with a picture of all the units for the Hiigaran and Vaygr races. It also had information on misc. single player vessels, formations, special ability ranges, and multiplayer map positions. An upgrade (v1.1) was published in January, 2004 that reflexed the changes incorporated in the HW2 v1.1 patch that was released.

This version (v1.2) has been greatly enhanced to include additional reference material including:

- Unit and Map Characteristics, Details, Statistics, and Abilities
- Weapons Loadout, Range, and Affect Information
- General Use Notes on Operations, Tactics, and Techniques
- Fleet wide Comparison Graphs of various ship and weapon statistics
- Special tables for Unit Caps, Latch Points, Salvage, etc.
- Additional misc. Single Player vessels
- Improved reference documentation, history log, and special credits

Awesome job Nemi. A cool thing for the chikens and the community as a whole. I'd also ask anybody who finds a flaw or disagrees with a take we have on strategy to let us know. Just keep in mind that sometimes a basic unit strat that might seem to be missing might elsewhere. For instance if there is nothing about marine frigates being the bane of DDs in the MF section, it might say so in the DD sections.

I hate to be a quibbler..... but....

On the notes for frigates, bombers and fighters in the Hiig section (I didn't look at the Vag section yet) the unit caps don't take into account that some units (e.g. all frigates) are in the same cap group.

You can have 21 frigates, not 21 of each. :)

(I know that you know that, it just doesn't seem clear in the notes.)

Yes - it's the same in the Vaygr section as well and that's not being a quibbler ... more like a whiner :) j/k

But seriously, thanks for the feedback! That thought did cross my mind when I was putting those tables together, but couldn't come up with an easy answer. I thought about just saying for example, "21 Frigates" as apposed to "21 Ion Frigates" but didn't for some reason that eludes me right now.

Do you have any suggestions on how it would have been made clearer to you? Would "21 Frigates" have been enough?

Possibly a short note right above the table on the fighter pages and frigate pages that specifies that these units are grouped with other units for cap purposes.

Something like...
"Bombers and Interceptors are counted together towards the total cap limits listed below"

Wouldn't it be cool to have 18 squads of Bombers *and* 18 squads of Inties though? lol

Sure would build faster than a mess of Gunships and full bombers. :)

hehe...

What if I added that kinda note to the online help section as apposed to every "Notes" page? (yeah, just tryin to be lazy) Think that would be enough?
