The guys that I play with on sats and sundays are not from HEL, Its just me that is in HEL...Well I have to say to Havoc, Logan Zehn and Chaos that the OMO dont want to play with us :(

I'm just speakin for myself.

If you are truly interested, drop by our boards and post an invite.

There are about a dozen or more of us now playing the game, including BFV, so you might get some interest.

Everyone in OMO makes their own decisions, and you might find some willing participants.

Lately tho, and I'm not saying it applies in this case, anything that smells of Ladder, or competitiveness, or one-up-manship (with the possible exception of posting) or such tends to draw a negative response from the group.

Any competition that makes tempers flare, we tend to stay away from these days, and just compete amongst ourselves.

Now if its strictly a "drink beer and laugh a lot" kinda thing you might make the sale.

I'll just be stubbron and stick to my guns, tho. My experience with Asmodius and a few other HELions left me with little interest in interaction.

Its like eating bad Spare Ribs that give you food poisoning. Its not ALL Ribs that are bad, but still you don't wanna ever eat them again.

Its just a personal choice Dysed.

I know they aren't out running around sacrficing chickens, or worse, but its the principal.

I'm not religious by any stretch of the imagination either, but something about the name, some of the imagery, etc associated with HEL, I find offensive. Mostly because of the influence it might have on some impressionable younger internet users.

We each pick our "causes or soapboxes" and while there is much , much more stuff out there that is more offensive, this is my choice.

I'm comfy with it, and have rarely seen any evidence that my decision is wrong. While Chikens may be buds, having had different experiences, it just didn't happen for me.

Anyhow, let us know if enough of you ever want to have a scrim. You can probably sneak a few HELions in too, as they will be under the chiken banner.

Sheesh....you lot were the ones that came up with BIR (not to be confused with beer). At one time I even think the old farts online came up with the "brotherhood of the iron cock"......sheeesh.

Here in Chik we are known as the brotherhood of the guys who like to have fun we don't need no stinking tags to do it either....(deep cleansing breath OWO I know ya just tried to bullshit ya LOL!).

I will never understand the thinking of the brain cell challenged and horribly lechorous (sp?). I think that OWO's over the world sprout wood for a myriad of reasons. I guess its to your passion.

That guest post above was by yours truly. I guess I wasn't logged on when I replied.

Oddly enough I did see Bluto in the OTH server just last night and said hello.

So, I guess I will have to take a moment to clarify (alter? retreat? edit?) my opinion regarding HEL.

I choose not to play games that involve HELions Vs the rest. In my personal experience thats when the worst aspects of the organization shows up.

On an individual basis I'm willing to be open-minded (as I can get) and judge each person based on their individual merit (tho I insist on an immediate 2 point deduction for their choice on online gaming club if they joined HEL).

So, heres the scoop;

get me a head count of how many people you might be able to get to have a fun match.
Let me know, then I will see what we can dig up.

If the numbers need tweaking I can see if some of the OTH guys wanna join up with us and possibly we can hijack their server for the event.

Cus face it, this game is a BEAST! It chews up and spits out CPUs, and is a mother to host, so we will need someone with a rocking good computer and mondo bandwidth to host it.

It may take awhile to get our shit together Festus but I'm sure we'd enjoy a scrimmage with OMO. We might field 4-6 players and we could share if you don't have that many. In fact, anybody who reads this and wants to play could show up and we could pick teams from the pool of players who show up. I would request one thing though, and that is that all of us be on the same comms. We'll make a party out of it!

I usually host on Sat. morning but my cable modem connection is somewhat untested. We could always find an empty server if nothing else works.

Come on by Moochers TS2 sometime Sat. morning and we can figure this out quicker.
